The World Cement Association organized its fifth annual exhibition and conference in Dubai, Emirates Towers. The dates for this conference is from 5th to 28th Sep 2022. WCA is a not for profit organization with its offices in London and Beijing. This organization works in clinker and cement trade globally.
WCA conference will take steps for the carbon footprints and prices in MENA. WCA with the help of a designed program will assist cement trade by elaborating MENA Sectoral Roadmap.
According to Riley, CEO at WCA, they will discuss economic and environmental issues the cement sector faces wit the people at conference. Industry leaders and experts will be at conference to promote step to decarbonizes and improve profit margins for cement companies.
MENA produces around 7% of the world’s cement and is responsible for 7% of whole world CO2 emissions. Outside India and China, MENA is responsible for the highest CO2 emission. This is the reason WCA is organizing the conference in MENA to highlight its importance and to embark on web zero journey.
The designed program to reduce emissions adopts step by step strategy. This program claims to reduce the emission by 40% by 2030. This program not only talks about reduction of CO2 emissions but also talks about reduction in costs.
