Brazil has opened its door for unvaccinated people after spending months in the list of world’s most restrictive countries due to covid.
Brazil also maintained open border coverage like Caribbean nations and Mexico but they kept the requirement of tourists assessments. This issue was somehow resolved with the availability of vaccines broadly.
As of this week, Brazil give permission to unvaccinated tourists to explore the place.
Condition for unvaccinated Americans
Conditions for Americans have been changed since September 12, 2022. Brazil stopped the visit of all unvaccinated American tourists in late 2021 when omicron was at its peak. This ban was lasted for 9 months.

The proof should include recipient’s identify, vaccines model and its producer and number of doses with their exact dates.

What Covid tests Brazil accepts?
Brazil will not reject the entry of unvaccinated tourists but rather they will make them to go through a more detailed PCR test. so the decision is up to the tourist which option to opt for.
Following are also applicable on tourists
- Tourists are not required to finish entry time
- Tourists have to complete post arrival testing for vaccinated or unvaccinated
- Overseas vacationers are not required to do quarantine
- there are no restrictions for inter state journey
- Use of masks in public areas is not compulsory anymore
